The legendary skier Marc Girardelli gave Bansko his fifth and last Crystal Globe. He made this historical gesture during the TV show Sports Fever, which was broadcast live from Bansko.

Bansko will hosts events of the men's world cup win skiing, it becomes clear from the FIS preliminary calendar, which was announced by the director of the ski resort of Wengen.
